So we are wrapping up the preparations for the show, and all of the students are working diligently every second to perfect their displays and going the extra mile to create a lasting impression. It is hard to believe that we are spending our final moments together at the computer lab, a place where we have spent most of our four years learning, stressing, critiquing, working hard and keeping company with fellow students for late nights. With couple more hours to go, we are definitely feeling the adrenaline rush. Hope to see all of you at the show!!

Enjoying the videos so far? Great! Because we had just as much fun shooting the video, interviewing each students. Not only did we hear some clever, witty answers but we also got to check out their hidden talents! They were quite a surprise to us considering the fact that we have known each other for four years. Our promotions team has done a wonderful job working on the video shoot, getting the most out of these unique characters.

The inaugural Design Charette is happening on April 18, 2011 from 12-3pm at the Distillery District.
Our theme for the charette is: "IT IS FINISHED." We will be using found and recycled items to create hand-made books and objects to answer and express two main questions:
- Things to tell first years
- Things I'm doing after gradshow
- If I knew then, what I know now (for alumni)
The overall purpose of the charette is to create a fun, dynamic atmosphere for graduating students to connect with experienced designers in the Toronto creative community. There will be light refreshments served.

When it comes to fundraising for the show, we have really come a long way. From selling valentines day cupcakes, silent auctions with live music, human auctions (mild slavery) and occasional pub nights. The events team has certainly done a fantastic job in bringing the fun out of fundraising and continues to do what they do to reach their goal to make this grad show happen!

We went on a journey to distribute our posters and post cards all over the bookstores, coffee shops and galleries in downtown Toronto!

Think collectible cards are old school? Well think again, because we have come up with a crazy idea of designing our own trading cards with images of our random items that we possess. Why? Because we think it's cool. If you carry one, then you are cool too. The objects on the collectible cards are featured on our promo poster, be sure to download the poster and find the object on the card! We will post new ones every now and then so make sure you collect them all!
