Limelight, an intimate evening set in the heart of Toronto's creative district, aims to bring together live entertainment, music and dancing, with an unforgettable silent auction. Hosted at the Gladstone Hotel on March 23, an array of extravagant items and extraordinary finds have been specially selected to spark anyone and everyones design desires.
Most of our unique pieces are one-of-a-kind, hand crafted works of art donated by talented local artists, with all proceeds going to support the York/Sheridan Joint Program in Design Graduation Show, &CO. , which runs from April 17–19, 2011.
Limelight marks the 11th year of the York/Sheridan Joint Program in Design, and once again the graduating class has collaborated to put forth a design exhibition that is entirely produced by the students themselves in every aspect. From the overall planning and preparation, to complete funding, and finally, the event execution itself. Students have paid for half the cost of the show, while the remaining funding is acquired through fundraising events such as Limelight.
